Associate Professor Winston Liauw is a medical oncologist and clinical pharmacologist currently appointed as Director of the Cancer Services Stream in South East Sydney Local Health District. His main clinical practice is in gastrointestinal cancer with a sub-specialty interest in peritoneal surface malignancy. He has been involved in over 1300 HIPEC procedures through his involvement with the St George Hospital Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Program. He has leadership roles in the Translational Cancer Research Network, UNSW Sphere Cancer CAG, the Centre for Research Excellence in Implementation Science in Oncology and is involved with the Peritoneal Surface Oncology Group International (PSOGI) and the recently formed ANZ Peritoneal Malignancy Collaborative. His interests include surgical oncology, pharmaceutical development, implementation science, variation in practice and healthcare data analytics, and quality use of medicines. He is a member of the Board Directors of NPS MedicineWise and the convener of the Basic Sciences of Oncology (BSOC) course in NSW
